1. John Geesnell Yap

Filipino politician John Geesnell Yap, also known as “Baba,” posted this hilarious photo on his personal Instagram account! It shows the process of getting vaccinated: before, during, and after. For the “after” picture, it’s none other than Jungkook!

2. Dr. Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus

Dr. Tedros is the Director-General of the World Health Organization, also known as WHO. He often shares content of the BTS members talking about COVID-19 prevention and vaccines. One of his most popular tweets related to the COVID-19 pandemic has a picture of Jungkook reminding fans to wear a mask and take care of our health!

3. The Secretary of Health of Campina Grande

This campaign in Paraíba, Brazil doesn’t use Jungkook’s face, but his name! The popular cartoon character Zé Gotinha, which translates to “Droplet Joe” in English, was created in 1986 in order to reassure families in Brazil that the polio vaccine was safe. In the following decades, Zé Gotinha continued to help raise awareness about vaccines.

For COVID-19, the health department in Campina Grande created a spin-off of the character: Zé Jungkook! The goal of this campaign is to encourage all eligible people to get the vaccination.

Jungkook’s global influence is being noticed by people all around the world who are utilizing it to help raise awareness of COVID-19 prevention. They’ve definitely got our attention!
